Horizon Forbidden West - Burning Shores - Volcano Exploration
Exploration of the overall shape and layout of the volcano. We focused on giving the volcano an iconic and intimidating feel, fitting for a landmark for the player to always have in sight.

Back view of the volcano. We explored how to open up the volcano in the back so the player would see the natural environment together with the visuals on the virtual screen in the arena.

Exploration of the arena inside the volcano. Focus was on creating a believable and
interesting structure that was traversable and provided options for cover.
Also showing how sand, vegetation and water would interact with the structure.

Had the great opportunity to help out with some 3D exploration last year for the Burning Shores expansion of Horizon Forbidden West together with an awesome team at Mood Visuals! Including Malte Blom Madsen, Lasse Biltrup, Daniel Gstir and others.
These are some various parts of the volcano arena - had a lot of fun playing with the structure of the arena and how it has collapsed over time, merging with nature, as well as doing some early ideas for the overall look and layout of the volcano itself.
